I'm Mona. I'm a 25-year-old full-time working mom of a boy named Nathan (born 2006), wife of a man named Mike and a resident of Seattle. I am originally from a small island called Saipan and I try to stay out of the rain, mostly.
"Kirida" is a Chamorro word bestowed on females, mostly the youngest or the favorite. I am the youngest of five children so you can figure out who the "kirida" was.

Hi.....Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I loove the photo of the banana applesause walnut bread. Is there a recipe?????
Yummmmmmy. I looove food.
Boys and their diapers, what's the story? My son screams like someone is after him. I'm thinking ummm hi....wouldn't you rather be clean????? LOL
Thanks Tanyetta.
I don't get why he freaks out over diaper changes or why he smiles while he's unloading one. I've never seen anyone enjoy themselves so much.
Anyway, the recipe:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
3. Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
I added in the applesauce because I didn't know what else to do with it and I also used a square pan because I am not cool enough to own a loaf pan. *sigh*
That bread looks about ten kinds of yummy. Thanks for the recipe, and for stopping by my blog!
Nummers!
Damn, Nathan's a quick study.

OMG Mo you are turning into a soccer mom....I'm so proud of you! When are you buying the minivan?
Thanks Drea for the banana bread recipe. I just used applesauce because I had to get it out of my kitchen before it grew into something fungal.
Geez Jen, don't you remember? I already drove a minivan in high school. I was really ahead of myself.
