where my beaches at?

I wish I had a better title, but all I can think is, "UGH!"

This is my passenger side blinker. As you can see, there is a gaping hole where there should be a continuous, unshattered piece of plastic. I wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't popped the trunk to look for the body my gym bag.

I have concluded that this likely happened in Federal Way when I was visiting my brother and his family. That was the last time I ever looked at the trunk. I didn't hit anything. I didn't back into anything. I didn't press my mammoth body into the side until I could hear it crack under the pressure.

Granted, it could be worse, like graffitti that looks like butts or a mattress super-soaked by meddling kids. The blinker and brake light still function so this is really a cosmetic problem.

And I'm sure the bill I'll receive to get this fixed won't be pretty, either.

What the hell? If it's any consolation, I can't think of anything more guaranteed to fuck someone's karma than a HIT AND RUN.

Wow. That's really crappy. I'm not going to lie...it does look like one of those expensive lights. If you're not in a hurry to get it fixed and the light still works, you can legally (like, you can't get a ticket for it) cover the hole with tape. They make a tape just for it...it would be in the auto section at wal-mart (and maybe target, but they lack in automotive stuff, usally).

You have been vandalized quite a bit, haven't you? Poor thing.

That sucks. Once in down town San Diego, my husband and I parked his Mustang and as we were walking across the parking lot? Five mohawked kids walked by, jingling with hood ornaments on chains.

Whaddaya know, our car was missing a big metal "Mustang 5.0" off the rear end.

So I'm just sayin': A kid walks by with a big red piece of jewelry? Beat the snot out of him.

Yes, definately tape that sucker up. A branch came out of nowhere when James was backing out of a space at Coffee Care and we had a big gaping hole too. We just used plastic packing tape and it was fine. If you don't tape it and water gets in there, there could be more damage.

I would use the red tape they sell in auto departments. It's not very noticeable, and it's cheap, and it means you don't have to go get it fixed.

I once bashed a front light and DID have it fixed, and I think it was $100. That's a lot less than I thought it would be, and the guy could tell: he crowed, "You thought it was going to be, like, a million dollars!" (I did think that.)
